Girlpages™ Live (GPL) is the ‘app’ version website for Lesbian Focused Events GirlpagesNetwork.com (GPN). PPN Is Gay Pride World Wide.

We are in no way a big company we rely on pre-made technology to create most of our website and app. 

We use google analytics to know our website has a pulse, and what is useful, we are under their TOS see google TOS. Use at your own risk.

Our App: 

11/14/2017 APP Fixes. One person experienced images in their ‘chat room’ randomly changing. Some experienced difficulties logging into the APP. We had a very tough password security requirements used for bankers. There really isn’t that much as far as technology so it was over kill. We are constantly adding changing things to improver the experience. All fixes have been changed.

We advertise events that cater to the women identified of the LGBTQ community. To simplify reading this document, we use the umbrella term: ‘lesbian’ focused events and resources. 

Use at your own risk.

Any of the data collected really just gives us general information like how many visitors, how many click through, etc., but it is never is targeted an individual users such as: If 100 people visit our pages, we don’t know who they are individually. This is as important to me as a user myself. However when you interact with some of the social media like facebook, facebook takes it from there. When you log in You can privately brows girlpages and it remains private as much as we know it to be. We added a secure certificate on the website to help ensure that experience isn’t hacked. However, we are not masters of the web and all it’s in’s and outs. We are simply acting as a funnel to information, to help our community stay together.  The email and phone number is so we can 1) help you recover your account, reset your password 2) ping you when important events come up. this will not happen often. 3) Emails are collected on the APP and eventually the website so we can send out a newsletter someday for things you are interested in like GirlpagesNorCal and Travel, we can put you one those list when really hot items come up.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. The information you share with us stays in house not to be shared with anyone else. This data is collected so we can eventually send you lesbian event focused information. You are on Girlpages to get events, we don’t want you to miss out on some special events and offers. For example turning on notifications is important to help bring to your attention there’s a huge lesbian party in Palm Springs or Province Town or something else you want to know. Like a concerts with a lesbian artist. Or comedians or ship cruises. We only use your email to help administer your use of the site and to inform you of certain events. Knowing where you live helps us only give you information for that area. We also know even in today’s world it’s not always safe to be out at your job etc. That’s your journey. We do not collect specific data on individual browsing history. We may collect data to prove our worth in the community but only as a basic statement of statistical data and what you want to share. Like a public occupation never attached to a name. We take necessary measures to keep your information safe and private, but are only as secure as the technology allows us.

Chat
Because we have a Chat  room on the APP you open yourself up to people who may not be who they pose themselves to be. There is no real way to stop this from happening but charging a premium price to get in. It’s not meant to be a platform to air dirty laundry but to help people gather. So only give out minimal information to be safe. However we also hold you accountable for your actions. We do not allow mean or manipulative activity: if you participate in such activity you could be banned with out refund. This chat function is an important part of Girlpages Live, it will help keep the community together. We built it to be a respectful place for women to gather. It’s not a sex talk or dating APP and we expect everyone to conduct themselves with respect for others. It’s also something we are going to need to rely on the community to help monitor.

Sponsors and affiliates

We need lots of funding to make girlpages thrive. What helps us, helps you! The more funding GPN has, the more we can get into areas and serve off the grid communities. We only present advertisers and affiliates that we feel brings added value to the our community. Once you link out of GPN, GPL or PPN its not our website. If you have security concerns let us know. When we send out a email ot pin it might be accompanied with a paid or affiliate ad. 

We want to attract high quality advertisers that respect the Gay community with respect and dignity. It was a emotional moment when REI agreed and was proud to advertise on Girlpages. It’s not easy for corporations to identify with our community with out being scrutinized by others. So we appreciate that decision and always keep our content clean and respectable. Our community has many needs that go beyond our sexuality. Like we need cars, insurance, health benefits, all kinds of things. We aim to incorporate those needs.

Social Media
At this time we do not have you log in through social medias. This further keeps your information private. If facebook keeps wanting you to log in, that is facebook. However if you log into social media such as Facebook, like any social media posting you are under the terms of that social media provider. We are just a window into such providers. We also depend upon how Facebook or these other providers presents themselves or allows APPs and websites to present themselves. We are not in control of  or responsible for the events that we link to. If you are not logged into facebook as being 21 and older facebook will make some of out events invisible.

Age

Most of our events require adult entrance of 21 and older (some events like Gay pride and so on are open to the public of all ages). This APP is not meant for use by individuals under 21. We also have bars listed on GPL/GPN/PPN: our link to their Facebook requires you to log in and be 21+ to view these bars on Facebook pages.

Events

We do not host events, we only share what we know is presented to be a lesbian focused event. We are not responsible for the claims of the event coordinators or event promoters. YOU NEED to do your own research and check the link for accuracy, specifically 1) if it’s lesbian focused or the type of event you are looking for, 2) the age restrictions, and 3) the correct location. We are not informed when events are canceled or a venue is changed. So please ALWAYS check the link, especially on the “+more events” google listings that are on Google calendars. We also can not guarantee it’s a lesbian event or business. We don’t have a huge screening process but we try to get to know the people we let have access.

Changes
GPL is constantly being updated. We add events usually Sunday or Monday to our calendars. Every once in a while we add things to our news feeds during the week.

In order to ensure Girlpages Live provides the best experience possible for everyone, we strongly enforce a no tolerance policy for objectionable content. If you see inappropriate content, please use the Report as offensive feature found under each post.

1. Parties
This Agreement is between you and Girlpages Network only, and not Apple, Inc. (Apple). Notwithstanding the foregoing, you acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of this Agreement and Apple has the right to enforce this Agreement against you. Girlpages Network, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Girlpages Live App and its content.

2. Privacy
Girlpages Network may collect and use information about your usage of the Girlpages Live App, including certain types of information from and about your device. Girlpages Network may use this information, as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you, to measure the use and performance of the Girlpages Live App.

3. Limited License
Girlpages Network grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Girlpages Live App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may only use the Girlpages Live App on Apple devices that you own or control and as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

4. Age Restrictions
By using the Girlpages Live App, you represent and warrant that
(a) you are 21 years of age or older and you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
(b) if you are under 21 years of age, you have obtained verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
(c) your use of the Girlpages Live App does not violate any applicable law or regulation. Your access to the Girlpages Live App may be terminated without warning if Girlpages Network believes, in its sole discretion, that you are under the age of 21 years and have not obtained verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or legal guardian and you provide your consent to your child s use of the Girlpages Live App, you agree to be bound by this Agreement in respect to your child s use of the Girlpages Live App.

5. Objectionable Content Policy
Content may not be submitted to Girlpages Network, who will moderate all content and ultimately decide whether or not to post a submission to the extent such content includes, is in conjunction with, or alongside any, Objectionable Content. Objectionable Content includes, but is not limited to:
(i) sexually explicit materials.
(ii) obscene, defamatory, libelous, slanderous, violent and/or unlawful content or profanity.
(iii) content that infringes upon the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other personal or proprietary right, or that is deceptive or fraudulent.
(iv) content that promotes the use or sale of illegal or regulated substances, tobacco products, ammunition and/or firearms.
(v) gambling, including without limitation, any online casino, sports books, bingo or poker.

6. Warranty
Girlpages Network disclaims all warranties about the Girlpages Live App to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent any warranty exists under law that cannot be disclaimed, Girlpages Network, not Apple, shall be solely responsible for such warranty.

7. Maintenance and Support
Girlpages Network does provide minimal maintenance or support for it but not to the extent that any maintenance or support is required by applicable law, Girlpages Network, not Apple, shall be obligated to furnish any such maintenance or support

8. Product Claims
Girlpages Network, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you relating to the Girlpages Live App or use of it, including, but not limited to:
(i) any product liability claim.
(ii) any claim that the Girlpages Live App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement.
(iii) any claim arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed an admission that you may have such claims.

9. Third Party Intellectual Property Claims
Girlpages Network shall not be obligated to indemnify or defend you with respect to any third party claim arising out or relating to the Girlpages Live App. To the extent Girlpages Network is required to provide indemnification by applicable law, Girlpages Network, not Apple, shall be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any claim that the Girlpages Live App or your use of it infringes any third party intellectual property right.
